As a former Program Auditing and Assessment specialist, Darryl conducted hundreds of compliance audits and performance assessments, providing executive summaries and actionable recommendations for improvement. Darryl excels in Corrective Action Program Management, helping organizations preemptively identify and mitigate risk through effective correction actions. Darryl is particularly exceptional in pinpointing the underlying reasons behind stalled implementation of inaugural corrective action programs, specifically during Safety Management System (SMS) implementation.
With expertise in Process Improvement, Darryl enables organizations to utilize leading and lagging indicators to predict and address problem areas. As a former Technical Instructor and Training Manager, Darryl is highly skilled in the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process. His experience includes the oversight of accredited training programs and driving process improvement in technical training disciplines. He is a qualified Master Training Specialist who has led performance-based training in various environments, emphasizing the importance of compliance and clear expectations. Darryl is also a skilled mentor and has guided new operators and engineers through demanding training pipelines and integrated them into high-performing environments.
Darryl’s experience also includes his role as a Nuclear Oversight Manager, where he led auditing and assessment teams and extensive experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Leader Superintendent, where he supervised bargaining employees.
Darryl had a distinguished 22+ year career in the U.S. Navy, where he served in various training, maintenance, and operational leadership roles. He achieved the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (E-9) and served as a technical advisor, driving performance improvements in operations, maintenance, and records administration. Darryl's expertise as a qualified Engineering Officer of the Watch and his accountability-based discipline of Sailors contributed to the success of numerous missions.
